Jennifer Hastings

Jennifer is usually the first person you meet in our practice. She holds down the front desk, answers the phone, makes appointments, and handles dental insurance...always with a smile. Jennifer has been in dentistry 8 years, graduating from Wilkes Community College in 2000 and obtaining her BA in Health Management from Gardner-Webb in 2005. She currently serves as an instructor on Fridays at the Wilkes Community College dental assisting school. Jennifer is married to Marvin Hastings and has a young son, Tyler. Her family attends Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and her interests include travel, shopping, spending time with family, and church activities.

Brenda Wallace

Brenda helps in many facets of our practice. Brenda works part-time and is our hygiene coordinator. She also helps Jennifer with phone calls,charts,financial arrangements, insurance, etc. As a certified dental assistant, Brenda can also assist with patient care and lab work. As you can see, Brenda has wide array of talents in her 20 years of dental experience, starting in l993 with Dr. Burgiss. Brenda lives in Union Grove with her husband, Jerry, and many pets. Brenda is very involved with her husband's church, A Light in the Darkness. Brenda's interests include spending time with her grandkids, working with kids from their church, camping, and gardening.

Lisa (I) Dowell

Lisa, sometimes called Lisa I, is Dr. Burgiss' full time hygienist. Lisa graduated from dental hygiene school at Central Piedmont Community College. She has 32 years of dental experience, and has been serving patients with Dr. Burgiss for the past 16 years. Lisa is great at putting our patients at ease and helping them keep their gums and smile in great shape. Lisa lives in Statesville and is active at Friendship United Methodist Church. She has one son, Clint, a student at the University of North Carolina, and a daughter, Hannah, a student at UNC-Greensboro. Lisa's interests include spending time with family and going to the beach and the mountains.

Lisa (II) Dowell

Lisa, sometimes called Lisa II, is Dr. Burgiss' main chairside dental assistant. As a certified dental assistant, Lisa has been in dentistry 21 years with the last 9 years with Dr. Burgiss. Lisa also helps with sterilization, ordering supplies, and with lab work. Lisa is awesome in making our patients feel very comfortable. Lisa lives in Yadkinville with her husband, Rhyne, and daughter, Andrea, who attends East Carolina University. Lisa and her family are members at Union Grove Baptist Church in Yadkinville. Lisa enjoys family time, traveling, music, church work, gardening, and cooking.

Kim Gregory

Kim is a full time hygienist, and has been with Dr. Burgiss since 2005. Kim graduated from Wilkes Community College as a dental assistant and Catawba Valley Community College as a dental hygienist. Kim has 7 years of experience, five of them as a dental hygienist. Kim and her husband, Brandon live in Union Grove along with her dog, two cats, and fish. Kim and Brandon attend Union Grove Christian Church. Kim's interests include family time, travel, riding motorcycles, and working around the house.

Virginia Miller

Virginia Miller is a certified dental assistant who graduated from Wilkes Community College's dental assisting program in 2003. Virginia is great with patients, and also helps up front and with lab work. Virginia is not married, but has a steady boyfriend in Ashe County where she is originally from. She now lives in Troutman, with her aunts and several pets. Her interests include spending time with family and friends, reading, cooking, singing, horseback riding, and taking mission trips.
